  • Can walk-in patients book online?
Yes. If you have not been to our clinic before you first need to register with our online booking system by calling the clinic and providing your information (name, email, PHN). You can reach us at (604) 552-3001.
  • There are multiple things I want to ask the doctor about my health, can I get it all done in 1 appointment?
Currently, our policy is one issue per visit, and only one visit per day. This video by Dr. Kathy Jones explains a bit more about why we need to operate this way.
  • How do phone call appointments work?
Our physicians do our best to call you as close to your scheduled appointment time as possible. Sometimes there are slight delays if emergencies occur or other patient appointments run longer than anticipated. We greatly appreciate your patience. If you do not receive a call within 15 minutes of your appointment time, please call our office at (604) 552-3001. Some reasons you might not be getting our calls: Some of the doctors use an app which indicates that they are calling from our clinic (so you will see “Oxford Medical Clinic” on your caller ID); other doctors opt to call from a blocked or private phone number. If you receive a call from a private or blocked number, please pick up! This could be your doctor calling. Some patients have mentioned they never received a call, and we have realized that some patients have a block on their phone (which most of them don't even know they have). Our staff have helped change some patients' settings for them if they come into the clinic. To update your settings yourself here are the steps: iPhone: Go to SETTINGS > scroll down to PHONE > scroll down to SILENCE UNKNOWN CALLERS > Make sure it says “Off” Android: Follow the steps here https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/3459196?hl=en If patients are having a difficult time reaching us via phone, we recommend you send us an email at oxfordcrossingmedical@gmail.com. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:00pm Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm Closed all Sundays and holidays. Subject to change depending on physician availability.
  • Are you doing in-person appointments or just telephone/video appointments?
In person visits at Oxford Medical are up to the discretion of the physician and clinic team. If you believe your concern should be addressed in the clinic you can call our office to inquire about an in-person appointment.
  • Why do I need to tell you the reason for my appointment?
When you call us to book your appointment we ask for the reason for your appointment so we can determine the length of time the appointment may take as well as whether it would be best in-person or virtual. Our medical office assistants are professional healthcare workers who have signed confidentiality agreements to keep your personal information confidential. It is part of their job to ask you the reason for your appointment.
  • Can walk-in patients be seen in person?
Our walk-in doctor is virtual only, therefore we do not have any in-person walk-in appointments. The doctor only does appointments over the phone. Please do not arrive at the clinic in hopes of seeing the doctor in-person on the same day. If you require same-day in-person care you can call the clinic and ask about the availability of the physicians. If our physicians are unavailable for same-day in-person care you can check pathwaysmedicalcare.ca or medimap.ca
